Just to note, the 3 hour, hands-on, 9-panelist (with additional guests) workshop "SLedupotential, Educational Potential of Second Life and Virtual Worlds" has been full-up in San Antonio for quite some time. That doesn't mean you're out of luck if you want to see it firsthand.
Log into Second Life and visit ISTE Island the day of (Monday June 30) and look for the little spheres that contain a "SLurl" that will take you to the ongoing workshop. The tie-dyed upholstered chairs are for the 30 real-world participants' avatars, but the floating office chairs up behind are for you. If we have to add seating we will!
My 8 co-presenters feature some real pioneers in Second Life and it's been a real treat getting to know them virtually whilst working up our 3 hours together. Just having them all in one real-life room will underscore the continuing value of real-world collaboration, as they help us all further understand the developing value of virtual collaboration. See you there (at least until the sim fills up, right Raven?)!!!
Here's a pic of the setting:
