Greetings!
We are very excited about the potential of this Ning to really increase communication and collaboration among NECC attendees and those who are interested in NECC but can't attend. It has the potential to totally transform and extend your conference experience.

The NECC program and exhibits are huge. Please let us know anything we can do to help you find what you need.

Thanks,
Anita

David Gibson - simSchool and Global Challenge

I'll be in the games area on Tuesday showing simSchool with preservice teachers and teacher educators from the University of North Texas. I'd like you all to pass along an invitation to high school students with an interest in Earth Science. We're forming the US Team to attend the 2nd International Earth Science Olympiad and would like to invite students to "try-out" for the 5 spots available. Send them to Global Challenge - Special Opportunities.

Bonjour from Atlantic Canada. I will be attending my first NECC conference and am impressed by the subjects/strands and people who will be there. I've been following a number of them via their blogs and am looking forward to exchange on common issues that passionate us, i.e. learning in/for the 21st century. This is my 3rd Ning community; just love the networking capacities. Like George Siemens says, "Here" means less and less but "Connected" means more and more. But being in beautiful San Antonio will also be very meaningful ;-)

From Papillion-La Vista Public Schools outside of Omaha, NE. This will be my first NECC and I am very excited. Twitter page is http://twitter.com/plvitf. I've become addicted to Twitter and my last tech presentation at our state conference was on using YouTube in our classrooms.

I'm Scott Merrick, Lower School Technology Coordinator at University School of Nashville and (one day a week) Teacher-in-residence at the Vanderbilt Center for Science Outreach. I am facilitating a 3 hour hands-on workshop called "SLedupotential: Educational Potential of Second Life and Virtual Wo..." and also doing so for the one hour Birds of a Feather, "Second Life as Professional Learning Network." Both are on Monday, as is a one hour session for edubloggercon. Inworld I'm cleverly disguised as Scottmerrick Oh and I'm an ISTE Docent and a Manager on the main island. I blog at http://scottmerrick.net and other places, including http://scottsecondlife.blogspot.com and produce and host the (now occasional) Snacks4theBrain! podcast at http://blogs.vanderbilt.edu/s4theb/ .

Greetings, all. I'm Eric and I'm a futurist in the SF Bay Area. I do strategy and community work for the KnowledgeWorks Foundation around our Map of the Future of Education, including running a blog.

My interest is in innovation and the expanding learning economy; I have a bias against the educational system and believe it's too resistant to change to survive for much longer given changing learners and new learning tools.

I'll be at the EduBloggerCon and NECC.

Hello Everyone,

I am a former high school physics/math teacher who is now an instructional technology graduate student and part time instructional designer for a community college. I will not be able to attend NECC, but am looking forward to ways to connect through the Ning and other online events.

As I am working hard on a book to be published by ISTE, I won't be attending NECC this year. I do plan to go next year and take the train to Washington, DC. I will for the first time bring my husband, a Vietnam Vet, to see the Wall. I will travel with him and my pal Kathy Schrock. I will be a fun adventure.

Keep me posted as to the exciting ideas that will be passed around this year.
