The forums are divided into general discussions and discussions specific to conference sessions, usually started by the presenters. There are over 90 groups ranging from ISTE affiliates and SIGs to groups discussing particular areas of ed tech as well as a NECC Newbie group.

The SMART Exchange now allows members to upload lesson activities and learning resources. The new feature was added in response to teacher requests. Educators can join the online community for free
