I think you could use google forms and then publish the excel document the answers get dumped into. This will get around you having to get all your parents to sign up for a google account. Now, I do have teachers who have made google sites so they could user protect the into they put up and got all parents signed up and they are now using google :)
Hi, Heather. It's nice to hear from you. For calendaring, I like Google calendar. It's easy and you can embed a widget for it in your web page or blog. I've used it for many projects.

Friday was a BLAST.......I really enjoyed the items I could share with you. Sorry we had to rush on some of the items to get them all in... I believe we are going to do another one soon and we will have more time to create projects and learn new WEB 2.0 tools
