Hi! I was delighted to "stumble" upon this group. I am very interested in meeting some of you., but we have slightly more than 800 students. May I still join you????

Hard Rock is about 3 miles from the Convention Center. I have a feeling that there is a place that is closer, though not having been to the Convention Center I don't know what it is. Might just be something to "wing" at the conference. My planner is filling up so quick, I don't know where or if I will have time. Hope to see you all there!

Sorry all, I have just been too swamped to get a plan in place yet for meeting at NECC. If someone would like to take over the planning, that would be fine with me, otherwise it might be more of a last-minute thing. I like the Hard Rock Cafe idea if it's close enough.

Hey everyone. I was a tech coordinator at a very small district in upstate NY before the district merged with a larger one, effectively sending me packing. This will be my first NECC (and first time in DC) and I feel a little overwhelmed by the sheer size of this event! Can't wait to meet people, learn a few things, and have a little bit of fun.

Hello to All!
I'm sorry this group hasn't been updated lately. I'm going to try to do better in preparation for NECC this year. In answer to Jason's comment, I would love to set up a time to meet to network and socialize with other tech coordinators from smaller schools at NECC. I am planning on being there at least Monday and Tuesday nights (hopefully more but no plans yet). I will look over the NECC program and see if one fits better than the other, but I welcome any suggestions. I've never been to DC, so if someone knows of a good place close to the convention, please speak up!

Hello Everyone! This is my first time attending NECC on the East Coast. I was there once before in Denver and it was great, but did not know a soul! I am hoping to further my network of Small School folks. Is anyone willing to help plan an informal dinner together one of the evenings so that we can meet and socialize?

Hi Julie and everyone! I'm also attending for the first time and am thrilled! I'm the lower school technology coordinator for a small independent school in Broadview Heights, OH. Looking for some pals both at conference (and for off-times!). Anyone attending the Capital Hill Visit on Tues (and the VIP Congressional Reception that evening??).

oh, the perfect group for me! i see no posts have been made here since last summer, but i hope you're all still interested. i am attending NECC this year for the first time. i am tech coordinator at a K-8 independent school in a small town in maryland. am eager to connect with others who work in similar settings!
